FieldTrialsBrussels

The second and final round of field trials of TOSCA-MP has taken place in January at RAI in Turin, Italy and VRT in Brussels, Belgium. More than 30 users from different organisations in the broadcast and media industry had the opportunity to get a hands-on experience of the tools for automated information extraction and search developed in the project.

After a short introduction, four stations were available for testing and in-depth discussions, each focusing on a use case supported by project results:

  • Content search across multilingual repositories
  • Distributed workflows for media production
  • Rich annotations for archived assets
  • Assisted production of sports events

We were very happy to welcome so many interested and committed visitors to the field trials, and the immediate feedback was very encouraging. The more detailed responses in the questionnaires filled by the participants are currently being analysed and will be published in March.
