The TOSCA-MP test & demonstration workshop was held at the EBU headquarters in Geneva on June 4th. Participants were able to test and evaluate software components that have been created in the run of the project as well as give their opinion and feedback about the developed scenarios. The workshop was attended by about 15 professionals from 5 public broadcasters.

After an introduction to the project and a presentation on the business goals and scenarios, that guide the technical developments, the participants could see demos of different software components and try them hands on. The control & config user interface serves as a central hub for monitoring the status of content repositories and invoking workflows for automatic information extraction.
The user interface for result verification and assessment visualizes results of a range of automatic video quality analysis algorithms are. An exploratory-based search user interface supports different visual functionalities for query refinement and enhancement. It relies on Semantic Web technologies and combines content-related features and semantic descriptors to improve the accuracy and recall of the search results. It also allows search and filtering based on automatic annotations.

Valuable feedback from the participants has been gathered in questionnaires and discussions. The received feedback is currently processed and will be summarised in a report by July 2013. It will serve as an important input for the development in the final development cycle of the project.
